Coronation Day – 6 May

We are putting up the Bunting and Royal flags to decorate the hall especially for the Coronation. And
as you would expect from The Memorial Hall there’s a full days celebration of the Kings Coronation on
Saturday May 6th featuring events all day for everyone and all events are FREE to enter. Plus activities for children.
The big Coronation Day kicks off with:-

  1. Come and see the Coronation live with friends and neighbours.
Yes, indeed we will be opening the hall especially for the Coronation ceremony itself. There will be the big screen installed and you enjoy a cup of tea or coffee on us. There will be cakes on sale PLUS The bar will be open for drinks to toast our newly crowned King. You are welcome to bring your own food if you want to have a brunch or lunch in the hall. Doors open at 10.30am. The Coronation ceremony starts at 11am.

  2. Enjoy a Coronation Barbecue.
Once the Coronation is over there no need to cook on such a day. Instead come down and enjoy a coronation drink in the afternoon followed by Simon’s famous barbecue. As it’s Coronation Day the bar will be open all day from 10:30am and the barbeque will be ready to go and serve at 5:00pm. It’s a great way to enjoy the Coronation afternoon with family and friends.

  3. Stay on for Live Entertainment in our Coronation Concert.
Local artist Olivia Grimes will be on stage from 6.30pm onwards in a special Coronation concert giving you live entertainment on the Coronation evening. Come and be part of the celebration of the Coronation and enjoy a live performance from a great local singer. Who knows we may finish the evening with a rousing performance of God Save The King!

Be part of the Coronation, Come and Join Mayfield’s Celebrations.
