It was the biggest night of the darts year – the 2022 Awards Night for Mayfield Darts teams PLUS a unique chance for anyone there to “Play a Pro” against Jamie Caven, seven times winner on the PDC Pro Tour and World Youth Masters champion who had come especially to hand out the prizes at the Memorial Hall.
As good as the awards were it was the chance to play and maybe even beat Jamie that was the star attraction and in fact three players (out of many, many) actually did it! Jamie, ever the gentleman, handicapped himself at times to give everyone a chance and threw darts whilst sitting down, over his back and even throwing darts at a board with the key areas covered by blank card – he still won! It was a great
fun night and a memorable way to hand out awards.
